Solent Scaffolding Ltd is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults. We recognise our responsibility to take appropriate steps to ensure that anyone who comes into contact with our business is protected from harm, abuse and neglect.

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, subcontractors and anyone working on behalf of Solent Scaffolding Ltd.

Management is responsible for ensuring that this policy is communicated effectively and that all safeguarding concerns are taken seriously and handled appropriately.

Working Practices

When working on site, particularly in domestic or public environments, our team will:

• Conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner at all times
• Avoid unnecessary interaction with children or vulnerable adults unless required for the work being carried out
• Never engage in behaviour that could be considered inappropriate or intrusive
• Follow all site-specific safeguarding requirements where applicable

Identifying Concerns

Safeguarding concerns may include signs of abuse, neglect or inappropriate behaviour. While our role is not to investigate, we recognise the importance of reporting concerns where there is reason to believe someone may be at risk.

Reporting Concerns

Any safeguarding concern must be reported to a company director or senior manager as soon as possible.

Where there is an immediate risk of harm, emergency services should be contacted without delay.

We will take all reports seriously and act in accordance with relevant safeguarding procedures and legal obligations.

Confidentiality

All safeguarding concerns will be handled with sensitivity and confidentiality. Information will only be shared with relevant parties where necessary to protect individuals or comply with legal requirements.

Training and Awareness

We ensure that our team is aware of safeguarding responsibilities and understands how to recognise and report concerns. This may include informal guidance or formal training where appropriate.

Monitoring and Review
